A spicy Indian recipe for beating the flu

© 2005 What Doctors Don't Tell You (Volume 16, Issue 5)

While in India, I treated many patients with complementary medicine. This will cure colds/flu within four days: 1 teaspoon of black pepper powder 1 teaspoon of ginger powder 1 teaspoon of basil powder 50 g of jaggery [unrefined sugar]. Boil ingredients in 2 cups of water. Take it three times a day for three days. This is a time-tested remedy that’s been used for decades. - G.M. Shah, Leicester
