Board Members
Robert A. Anderson, M.D. is President of Psychosynthesis International and head of training for Health Professionals. He retired in 1992 after 32 years of practice in Family Medicine. Dr. Anderson is the author of "Stress Power!" and "Wellness Medicine", and is the past president of the American Holistic Medical Association. On completion of his training in 1979, he was certified in Psychosynthesis. Since 1969, he has given over a thousand lectures, workshops, and seminars throughout the United States, in Canada, and in Europe, on holistic medicine, nutrition, biofeedback, and psychosynthesis.

Edith R. Stauffer, Ph.D. is the Director and Founder of Psychosynthesis International, and was the founder of the Psychosynthesis Training Center of High Point Foundation in Pasadena, California, as well as the director from June 1966 to June 1984. Dr. Stauffer studied with Roberto Assagioli, M.D., the founder of Psychosynthesis, during the summers of 1968, 1972, and 1973, in Florence, Italy. She has been teaching and using Psychosynthesis as a method of counseling since 1961. Dr. Stauffer has led workshops in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Europe, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, and throughout the United States. She is author of the book, "Unconditional Love and Forgiveness", which is available in English, French, Dutch, Danish, Portuguese, Japanese, and soon to be German.

Betty Bosdell, Ph.D., Director of Student Training at Psychosynthesis International, is a life-long learner, and enjoys sharing what she has learned as a teacher, consultant, and therapist. A retired university professor and chair of her department, her major teaching areas were theories of psychotherapy, transpersonal psychology, group therapy, supervision, child (play) therapy, psychological assessment, and biofeedback. In addition to her work in psychosynthesis, she has studied extensively and intensively in a variety of approaches (Jung, Adlerain, Gestalt, voice dialogue, biofeedback, EMDR, art therapy, reality therapy, behavioral, transactional analysis, NLP, etc.) For the past 15 years her focus has been on the integration of approaches to working with persons from a transpersonal and humanistic perspective, and was Clinical Coordinator for DELOS, Inc. Currently, in addition to private consulting, she lectures and conducts professional training workshops throughout the United States, Europe, and Canada, and is a Board Member of Psychosynthesis International.

Mary Kelso, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist, marriage, family and child counselor, California Community College counselor and instructor, and registered dietician. Besides being an insightful, articulate Mentor for Psychosynthesis International students, she is responsible for the fiscal and administrative operation of a full service counseling center, as well as direction of trainees, interns, and psychological testing, crisis counseling and psychotherapy to individuals, families, and groups within a private practice setting.

Celeste King, Ph.D. After coming to Maui, Hawaii, to make her home among family, Celeste King was invited to speak at a meeting of local ministers. They warned her: "We do not believe in psychology because these folks don't recognize the spiritual." In making an affirmative reply, she said: "I'm glad you brought up that problem because Psychosynthesis does affirm the spiritual, and this is the psychology I follow." She had just completed post-doctoral study with Edith Stauffer at the Pasadena High Point and Psychosynthesis Center. All of her working life has been in two areas: teaching people good will behavior and serving as an activist for our environment. She continues to hold these purposes while managing the family book and toy store in Makawao, Maui, Hawaii, where she learns from her customers, especially the children.

Mentors
Joann M. Anderson, M.A. became certified in Psychosynthesis in 1979, after studying with Dr. Roberto Assagioli in 1974, in Florence, Italy. Joann has worked since 1977 in a private practice setting in Edmonds, WA. She is exceptionally good at getting to the core of issues quickly, and has a wide array of professional skills to help students bring about the changes they wish to make. She is a supportive and informed teacher of Psychosynthesis, with a good understanding of psychology and child development. Joann is very capable in helping students apply what they know, in their own work setting -- whether it is counseling, education, business, or other fields.
