Pure vanilla powder, which is not vanilla sugar, is much superior when
compared to vanilla extract. Extracts of vanilla, as well as other
spices, are often made using alcohol and harsh chemical processes.
There is a possibility of vanilla extract, and similar extracts,
containing traces of the chemicals used during the extraction process.
Chemical extraction also mars taste, so vanilla powder is not only
purer than extract, but also has a richer taste.
