* One case has been noted of a patient taking tamoxifen for breast cancer who developed "radiation recall" an inflammatory reaction at a site previously irradiated after taking cancer killing drugs. The patient was taking tamoxifen after a tumour had been removed and she'd been receiving radiation. The Lancet, 4 July 1992.
* The first case of pseudomembranous colitis has been reported in a patient taking diclofenac, a non steroidal, anti inflammatory drug. The Lancet, 11 July 1992.
* Eight cases of Guillain-Barre paralysis have been reported in patients given gangliosides, a fatty substance normally occurring in the brain, for spinal cord injury or diabetic wasting of the nerve. The Lancet, 4 July 1992.
